  • Whitsett, NC
    Peacehaven’s mission is to connect people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to the larger community through shared living and the work of a sustainable farm. We will work with residents on the farm doing meaningful projects while getting to know the residents and learn about their life there.
    10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Triad Health Project is one of the largest AIDS services in NC. They promote sexual health through love, equality while working to free the community from HIV, its stigma and root causes. This project is a hot one! Help cook meals that will be served to clients.
    10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Ages 12+ Help Backpack Beginnings sort their donations and organize their home market! Volunteers will be on their feet in the BPB warehouse. *BPB is in need and will gladly accept any used plastic grocery bags you could bring that day
    11 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

  • Ages 7+ Weigh, sort, and restock more than 3,500 lbs of food from A Simple Gesture. Additional non-perishable food donations would be greatly appreciated.
    10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

  • Volunteers will assist with addressing and writing thank you notes to SG donors; making calls to SG donors to thank them for donations; travel to various neighborhoods in Guilford County to place SG informational door hangers at homes to help increase food donations; sorting and tagging SG green bags.
    10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Ages 12+ Help spruce up the garden and patio furniture at the hospice center in Greensboro. We will be cleaning outdoor furniture & elements at Authoracare for the use of hospice patients and their families during challenging times. We need 10-12 volunteers ready to use their elbow grease. Be prepared to get wet. Buckets, cleaning materials, water and gloves will be provided.
    10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Ages 5+ Bring a smile to seniors in assisted living by visiting.
    10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • This is the perfect project for kids! Help pack Birthday Boxes that will be given to a child in a local school who may not otherwise have a celebration on their special day. Each box is packed with everything needed to celebrate a birthday including cake supplies, decorations, and a small gift. Birthday Box donations would be greatly appreciated.
    10 a.m. - Noon

  • Great for Ages 12+. You'll be busy working in the Teacher Supply Warehouse! Some activities will include writing postcard notes to teachers, craft making for the front room, inventory throughout the warehouse, and bundling some new supplies. This should be a fun day!
    You will need to wear closed-toe shoes as there will be some activities being held in the warehouse.

  • Help by prepping to-go meals for unhoused individuals in Greensboro
    10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • The Greensboro Jewish Community has adopted a park near Beth David. We will be picking up trash, pulling weeds and picking up sticks. Gloves, closed toe shoes, a hat and sunscreen are recommended. Children Welcome!
    10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Join arcBARKS and come and bake dog treats! Fun for the whole family, volunteers will roll dough, cut treats and bake.
    10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Food Pantry Collection:

Canned and non-perishable food, diapers, formula, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, hairbrushes, soap, shampoo, deodorant, chapstick, tissue packs, fruit cups, juice boxes, granola bars, small snacks, etc. Donations can be dropped off at Beth David, Temple Emanuel or JFS before Friday, May 17, or brought to Beth David on the morning of Sunday, May 19.
