Martha Golensky
Martha started her poetry journey in 2007 after retiring and relocating to Greensboro. She likes to say it all began on a Monday morning in the shower when her first poem came to her, and she hasn’t stopped writing since. She’s the author of the poetry collection, Pride of Place, and her work has appeared in literary journals, anthologies, general-purpose magazines and online. She’s also the author of numerous articles and a textbook on nonprofit management, her professional field for over thirty years. She has taught poetry writing for the Shepherd’s Center of Greensboro and is currently facilitator of a poetry group at her retirement community.
